Among the so-called "rare diseases," Congenital Heart Disease (CHD) constitutes a significant number of pathologies that require different types of anesthetic procedures. Vall d'Hebron Hospital is a pioneer and leader in the treatment of these diseases and therefore has a team of trained and experienced professionals for the comprehensive and complex care of these conditions. The Anesthesiology Department provides high-level anesthetic care at all ages, both for procedures directly related to the disease and for other intercurrent procedures.

The Advanced Training Program in Pediatric Anesthesia for Congenital Heart Disease is an observer-level course that aims to provide professionals with the knowledge to provide patients with these conditions with the most appropriate care.
