El Programa de Trasplantament Pulmonar ha recuperat les xifres de trasplantaments prèvia a la pandèmia de COVID-19 i abans d'acabar l'any ja ha assolit els 100 trasplantaments pulmonars, entre adults i pediàtrics.
L'Hospital Universitari Vall d'Hebron ja ha assolit la xifra dels 100 trasplantaments pulmonars fets aquest any, quan falta encara més d'un mes perquè acabi el 2022. Així, el Programa de Trasplantament Pulmonar ha recuperat les xifres de trasplantaments prèvia a la pandèmia de COVID-19 i abans d'acabar l'any ja ha assolit els 100 trasplantaments pulmonars, entre adults i pediàtrics.
El 2020, el nombre de trasplantaments va caure de manera generalitzada a causa de la pandèmia de COVID-19. La xifra es va anar recuperant el 2021, i el 2022 el ritme ha augmentat molt fins al punt d'haver-se realitzat aquest novembre el trasplantament pulmonar número 100.
"Estem molt contents d'haver assolit aquesta fita que només s'ha pogut dur a terme gràcies a la bona feina d'un gran equip multidisciplinari i a la generositat de donants i les seves famílies", afirma el Dr. Alberto Jauregui, cap del Servei de Cirurgia Toràcica i Trasplantament Pulmonar de l'Hospital Universitari Vall d'Hebron.
