Thoracic Surgery and Lung Transplants

I am a Specialist in Thoracic Surgery with a special interest in surgery for hyperhidrosis and chest wall pathologies such as congenital deformities and tumours. I am a member of the Lung Transplant surgical team and I am currently a Resident tutor.

Curriculum

In 2004 I finished my resident training in Thoracic Surgery at the City Health of Barcelona, Bellvitge University Hospital.
I worked in various hospitals as an adjunct doctor among some are: University Hospital of Albacete,
Sagrat Cor University Hospital in Barcelona, Germans Trias i Pujol University Hospital in Badalona.
From 2006 I started working at the Vall de Hebrón University Hospital in Barcelona.
I am a Surgery Doctor from the Autonomous University of Barcelona with the presentation of the doctoral thesis entitled "Comparative Analysis between Sympathectomy and the Clipping of the Sympathetic Nerve in Hyperhidrosis and Facial Flushing in a Major Ambulatory Surgery Program".
Master's degree at the University of Barcelona on "Organ, Cell and Tissue Donation and Transplantation".
Former student of the European school of cardiothoracic surgery in Italy.
I have done various training stays on chest wall malformations at the Ricardo Gutierrez Children's Hospital, Buenos Aires-Argentina; and in Video Assisted Thoracic Surgery in Lung Cancer and Mesothelioma at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York.
I have participated as an author in several book chapters related to my specialty, medical publications and clinical trials related to Lung Transplantation.
