The Obstetrics and Reproductive Endocrinology Service at Vall d'Hebron University Hospital in Barcelona is one of the most important services in this area in Spain and has links with several European and American centers.

Maternal-Fetal Medicine covers such a wide range of pathologies that professionals require additional training at referral centers to build a solid foundation of knowledge. Advanced Training in Chorionic Gonadotropin Biopsies at the Prenatal Diagnosis Unit is a training activity for observers on the detection of congenital defects and prenatal genetic counseling for couples at risk due to a previous history (family or individual), as well as in the assessment of the necessary studies for the risk of chromosomal abnormalities derived from biochemical, ultrasound, or combined screening.
