Vall d’Hebron Classroom: Knowledge management for life-long professional development

With a history going back for more than 17 years, Aula Vall d’Hebron continues to offer professionals technical and methodological support in carrying out the training activities provided by the different Vall d’Hebron Campus healthcare units and areas.

We are committed to identifying and promoting new lines of activity, especially those that integrate different knowledge areas in specialised training, while raising their visibility and adopting a multidisciplinary approach.

Key values

Innovation and excellence are key values in each and every one of the teaching proposals in which we participate. We work to incorporate new learning methodologies to make content more accessible to professionals, and look to use clinical simulation-based formats whenever possible.

Management areas

Our services are oriented towards the following management areas:

Training of specialist professionals

This management area provides support for training actions aimed mainly at external health professionals at our centre, under the direction and participation of Vall d'Hebron professionals, and are presented in different formats such as:

  • Courses, seminars and scientific meetings promoted by the different professional and specialist areas. These training actions require a high level of experience and aim to update professional competencies and technical skills.
  • Congresses, forums and conferences led by experts from different knowledge areas in health sciences, presenting the latest clinical and technological innovations through open debate and exchange between professionals.
  • Simulation-based clinical practice workshops to promote learning models in line with patient safety.
  • Advanced Training Programmes in the hospital aimed at specialists looking to broaden their knowledge and competencies in areas of clinical experience.

Resident training

In this area we carry out theoretical and practical training programmes for Vall d’Hebron residents. These training actions are defined by resident speciality, but also include cross-departmental competency training programmes for residents from different specialities.
