Les noves escales mecàniques es caracteritzen per un sistema d'eficiència energètic i fiabilitat de funcionament.
Per tasques de manteniment, el funcionament del primer tram de pujada i baixada de les escales mecàniques que dona accés a l'edifici de l'Hospital General quedarà interromput des del 7 de setembre al 7 d'octubre.
Durant aquests dies es durà a terme la retirada de les escales mecàniques actuals i la instal·lació de les noves. Aquestes noves escales es caracteritzen per un sistema d'eficiència energètic i fiabilitat de funcionament.
Al llarg de les tasques de manteniment només es podrà accedir a l'entrada de l'Hospital General a peu o utilitzant l'ascensor.
