Vall d'Hebron ha aconseguit l'acreditació SEC-EXCELENT en SCASEST a la qualitat assistencial en cardiologia que acredita la Societat Espanyola de Cardiologia.
La Societat Espanyola de Cardiologia (SEC) ha acreditat avui la qualitat assistencial en cardiologia de 37 hospitals espanyols. Així, en un acte celebrat a la Casa del Cor, un total de nou centres han rebut el segell SEC-EXCEL·LENT en assistència ventricular mecànica, 10 en insuficiència cardíaca, set en SCASEST (síndrome coronari agut sense elevació del ST), sis en el seguiment de dispositius, i 11 el segell SEC-PRIMÀRIA, que reconeix la integració assistencial entre cardiologia i atenció primària.
Aproximadament, uns 50.000 pacients a l'any són hospitalitzats a Espanya amb diagnòstic de SCASEST, síndrome coronari agut sense elevació del ST. El diagnòstic i tractament adequats d'aquesta patologia constitueixen, per tant, un important repte assistencial. L'Hospital Vall d’Hebron ha aconseguit l'acreditació SEC-EXCEL·LENT en SCASEST.
La SEC audita i acredita la qualitat assistencial cardiològica en el marc del programa SEC-QUALITAT, que té per objectiu millorar la prevenció, diagnòstic i tractament de les malalties cardiovasculars.
