Intensive Care Unit (ICU) This SIMOONS module is set in a general Intensive Care Unit (ICU). The goal for participants is to attend to, examine, stabilise and treat a critical patient. Different types of patients have been designed with the option to create multiple clinical scenarios. Participants can request imaging tests, laboratory tests, and electrocardiograms and conduct a comprehensive physical examination. They can indicate advanced techniques such as intubation and ventilation and establish venous access. Participants communicate with each other and patient profiles using real-time voice communication. It is possible to perform different roles: simulation facilitator, participant and observer; also, multiple cases and sessions can be generated simultaneously.
