Dra. Núria-Laia Rodriguez Mias

I have been an assistant to the Obstetrics and Gynecology Service in the Vall d'Hebron University Hospital since 2015. I obtained a degree in Medicine and Surgery in Hospital Clínic de Barcelona, linked to the University of Barcelona. I got the Medical specialist in Obstetrics and Gynecology via MIR, between 2008 and 2012 at Sant Joan de Déu de Espluques Hospital (Barcelona). Since 2015 I have been a Specialist in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Vall d'Hebron Maternal and Child Hospital, in the Benign Gynecology and Pelvic Floor Pathology Unit.

In 2015 I obtained my PhD for my doctoral thesis in medicine entitled "Genital prolapse and stress urinary incontinence. Differences in their etiology” under the doctoral program of medicine at the University of Barcelona. Given my concern and desire to continue with my university education, in 2014 I got Master's Degree in Gynecological Endoscopy at Hospital Vall d'Hebrón (UAB)). Followed by a Master's Degree in Clinical Sexology and Sexual Health at Hospital Clínic of Barcelona (UB) in 2018-2020; and recently I have obtained the certificate in Postgraduate Specialization in Aesthetic and Functional Gynecology and Cosmetic Genital Surgery for Women (UB).

A part from the multiple courses and national and international conferences that I have been able to attend as a student or as a speaker, my involvement in clinical research has allowed me to publish numerous articles with great professionals in my field. Combining everything with training activities as a teacher within the Master's Degree in Gynecological Endoscopy and in the Faculty of Medicine of the Vall d'Hebrón Campus of the Autonomous University of Barcelona.

Without further ado, I would like to thank all my colleagues who accompany me in this wonderful and fascinating world of gynecology, both within the hospital and in the pelvic floor section of the Catalan Society of Gynecology and Obstetrics, the Spanish Society of Obstetrics and Gynecology, the European Urogynecology Association and the International Urogynecology Association. Of which I am part of as a member in the first and a partner in the others, since they allow me to continue forward with enthusiasm and a desire to improve.
