My name is Carla Aguilera, I have been the Project Manager of SIOPEN (European Society for Pediatric Oncology - Neuroblastoma Research Network) since 2024.

Curriculum

Graduated in Biology at the UdG and a master's degree in clinical trial monitoring at the UdL.
I have completed continuing education in different courses related to the world of trials, from start-up to patient engagement, to managing requests to the ethics committee for new studies. I also have training in good clinical practices and sample management protocols.

In the Department of Pediatric Onco-Hematology at Vall d'Hebron Hospital, I was Senior Clinical Trials Coordinator from 2018 to 2024 and Trial Site Manager from 2020 to 2024. I worked with the team to improve the care of patients participating in clinical trials and promote and manage research projects with the Childhood Cancer and Hematological Diseases group at the VHIR.

Currently, and since May 2024, I am the Manager of SIOPEN (European Society for Paediatric Oncology -Neuroblastoma Research Network). The association brings together healthcare professionals from across Europe to improve outcomes for patients with neuroblastoma.
