I am a paediatric intensivist, specialising in the care of patients with heart disease. I am coordinator of the paediatric and neonatal ECMO programme and director of paediatric life support courses.

Curriculum

I completed my paediatric residency at Vall d'Hebron and subsequently worked for one year in the Paediatric Medical Emergency Service. Since 2014 I have been working in the Paediatric Intensive Care Unit and I have developed my activity mainly in the field of ECMO and cardiopathic patients. As coordinator of the paediatric and neonatal ECMO programme, I have been part of the development of the interhospital ECMO transport programme. I am part of the cardiac transplant team and referent for patients with ventricular assist devices.

Teaching activity
I have been a paediatric life support instructor since 2014 and director since 2017. I have participated in and led numerous courses aimed at both healthcare staff and caregivers of paediatric patients. Since 2016 I have also participated in ECMO courses and since 2021 I have been a tutor for residents.

Research activity
I am currently working on my doctoral thesis on the use of intravenous enoxaparin in the paediatric critical patient.
