Residency at Vall d'Hebron

Discover why a residency at Vall d’Hebron Barcelona Hospital Campus is the best choice for your specialised training. It is one of the hospitals that attracts the highest number of future specialists, as shown by the number of candidates achieving the best results each year.

Our commitment to specialised healthcare training is backed by a long and established history of teaching: this all began in 1968, when we were among one the first to implement the Resident Medical Intern (MIR) system.

We are also part of the external Family and Community Medicine Teaching Unit. The first two years of residency are carried out at the Hospital.

We also receive a high number of residents from all over Spain, who come to do specific clinical rotations with us.

How we are structured

The organisation of the specialised healthcare training is carried out by the Teaching Committee, a collegiate body responsible for integrating residents’ training activities into the daily care activity in the hospital. This is an essential tool to guarantee quality and continuous improvement in our educational work.
